Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan though has been locked up with his film’s shooting schedule, not missing any opportunity to make his presence felt in the political arena, by raising his voice on various issues. He is trying to remain in the news by extending his `moral’ support to those who approaches him.
When representatives of weavers met him two days ago, he promised them that he would be `Brand Ambassador’ for promotion of handloom cloths in both Telugu states, so that to help in improving living standards of weaver families.
When farmers of Andhra Pradesh Capital region, Amaravati and Polavaram met him today to discuss the issue of the dumping of Polavaram project sand in their lands, he assured them that he would address the issue with the government officials to resolve it.
Earlier, members of Andhra Pradesh Chenetha Karmika Sangham and Telangana Akhilapaksha Vedika met him where they brought to his notice the plight of weavers in both the Telugu states. Expressing his solidarity to them, the power star assured that he would contribute to his maximum extent to rescue weaver families. Stating that hand-loom is nation’s treasure, he said it is the duty of all the citizens to preserve this heritage.
When, the Mulalanka farmers in Polavaram region explained their issue that the government is taking up 203 acres of land for the sand dumping, he frankly admitted that he has no idea as to why the state government has not given the promised lands but added that he would send representatives to look into the matter.
Farmers urged him to visit their place to assess the situation himself. He gave them an assurance that he would make a visit once he holds talks with the government. Also, the farmers from Uddandaraya Palem and Lingaya Palem met Pawan Kalyan explaining the partiality being shown in land pooling for the capital.
