Till now ISIS links have been confining to Hyderabad city. But the Andhra Pradesh police was alerted after it was established now that dreaded terror out-fit ISIS has been gaining access into few pockets of coastal districts also and some youth have already went Syria to join into their ranks
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) personnel have succeeded in getting leads in identifying that two persons from AP joined ISIS ranks, a day after arresting Mohammed Irfan alias Abu Jaffer from Hyderabad. The two personnel have been identified as Rehman from Machilipatnam in Krishna and another person a scientist from Guntur town. But their actual names and family details are yet to be established.
It was for the first time ISIS links have been traced in these parts. The two youngsters have reportedly joined ISIS by taking an oath of allegiance in favour of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. It has indicated terror groups are having sleeper cells in some parts of coastal districts also. Though some more youth were also allegedly said to be joined into ISIS ranks, actually details are yet to be probed.
Both of them have reportedly left their houses telling their parents they are going to Dubai for employment. After reaching Dubai, some handlers helped them in reaching Syria, where they joined ISIS. After reaching their, they have reportedly changed their names. NIA has informed these inputs to the policies officials of both Krishna and Guntur district, so that to probe further and trace out their antecedents.
The arrest of Mohammed Irfan helped NIA officials to unearth ISIS module operations in these parts during their interrogation. They were shocked to know as many as about 30 youngsters from two Telugu states have attempted to join ISIS and they were in touch with some handlers.
NIA officials interrogated him on his role in the ISIS module. During interrogation, Irfan reportedly told investigators that around 30 youngsters from Telangana and AP have attempted to join ISIS and they were in touch with some handlers.
