The controversial Andhra Pradesh Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu’s continuation in Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet seems to be locked in dilemma. Series of incidents during last two weeks reveals that Chief Minister was disgusted towards him for creating one or other controversy.
He was practically admonished by the Chief Minister at the party’s Coordination Committee meeting yesterday accusing him of failing in his performance. Expressing his anger towards the minster for resorting to quarrel with Guntur Zilla Parishad Chairperson Shaik Janimoon, Naidu warned of him to mend his ways.
Chief Minister has reportedly told him “Without knowing about you, just before elections I had given you seat and also inducted into the cabinet. I also don’t know about Janimoon, but her name was proposed by the district minister Prattipati Pulla Rao, along with you.”
Another episode of previous night also said to be led to Chief Minister’s impatience towards him. The minister was suddenly disappeared from his house in Guntur for few hours, which has created ripples among political and police circles. On Wednesday evening the minister returned home after completion of his official programmes at 6 p .m. When the security personnel were waiting for him there itself, without their knowledge he went out of the home in a private car at 7 pm and returned only at 10.30 pm.
After 30 minutes of time, realising he was not in the house, the security personnel became panic on his whereabouts and brought it to the notice of higher police officials. After return, he simply said he went for dinner to a friend’s house. Later, Chief Minister was also reportedly asked him angrily “why do you goes out without informing security?”
A week ago, some TDP leaders from his Prattipatu constituency met TDP’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh alleging that he was encouraging `newcomers’ and completely ignoring leaders working for the party since a long time. Lokesh simply said `wait for a fortnight, you will hear a big news’.
