The YSR Congress Party leaders have appealed the Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan not to confine himself to press conferences and tweets, but should fight from the front for Special Category Status of the state.
YSRCP legislators from Nellore district Kakani Govardhan Reddy, P Anil Kumar Yadav and K Sridhar Reddy alleged that the film star-turn-politician has been striving for political existence in the State with tweets and occasional comments. They said that the film star should come out with his huge force of fans and followers and lead the people.
Govardhan Reddy wondered why the police took Nellore based MLAs Anil Kumar and Sridhar Reddy into custody when they participated in a candle rally peacefully on the Republic Day. He asked why Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was panic and tried to foil the peaceful rallies all over the state. He asserted that his party would continue its agitation till the Centre declared Special Status to the State.
Anil Kumar Yadav warned that they would obstruct visits of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu in Nellore district as he betrayed people of the State after assuring the Special Status. He also said that not only YSRCP MPs but also the party MLAs were ready to resign for the cause of Special Status as soon as party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy asked them to do so.
