For the first time, common Governor for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan seems to be taking keen interest on the post-bifurcation problems, which have been turning to be contentious issues between two states.
He has convened a high-level meeting on February 1st with representatives from both the Telugu states at Raj Bhavan, where he plans to discuss various pending issues arisen due to bifurcation.
Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will be leading teams from their respective states. Senior officials also will participate in the meeting.
The meeting would focus on the issues of distribution of employees, power and water amongst the few that will be discussed. Also, the losses incurred to Andhra Pradesh due to bifurcation will also be raised.
