The heat of cheating cased being filed in Andhra Pradesh Congress reached New Delhi. APCC headed by N Raghuvira Reddy filed cases against the PM Modi, union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu for their going back on implementing the promises they made to the people of Andhra Pradesh during 2014 elections. Stating this was tantamount to the cheating the people, the party is filing cases in 1258 police stations across the state for the past two days. Today is the third and last day of novel protest.
However, Venkaiah Naidu took strong objection to the police complaints against the leadership of BJP and TDP allegedly not fulfilling their poll promises made to the bifurcated state. He described this protest as a publicity gimmick. It would serve no purpose, Venkaiah Naidu tweeted.
