Reacting to the aftermath of the Penuganchiprolu bus accident in which 11 passengers were killed, YSRCP President Y S Jagan blamed the government for filing cases against him when he actually went to console the victims. He accused that there was no second driver in the bus and that the government is blatantly lying about the second driver. The YSRCP supermo alleged that the officials were trying to manipulate the postmortem report.
Defending his comments about putting the officers behind the bars, Jagan said “Is it wrong to say that you will be jailed if the post mortem is not done according to rules”. He further alleged that they were playing management tactics to avoid paying compensation to the victims. He also held that if he were in Congress and did not go against Sonia Gandhi, the government wouldn’t have filed cases against him.
Earlier, Tadipatri MLA, J C Prabhakar Reddy who has come under fire after the accident said that “Jagan Mohan Reddy will go mad after 2019 elections. He will go around the state that he is the Chief Minister”. In a video which surfaced, the TDP leader was using obnoxious language for the opposition leader.
When asked to speak about J C Prabhakar Reddy’s comments, Jagan retorted that it is unnecessary to talk about him. The YSRCP chief further said “It is waste to talk about him. He is insane, he is well aware of that”. He quoted the old saying as the Elephant Keeps Walking the Dogs Keep Barking.
