A ‘halfway through” survey conducted by “Flash Team” in Andhra Pradesh for Vemuri Radhakrishna’s ABN-Andhra Jyothi channel indicates that Telugu Desam Party is way ahead of its political rivals while the Opposition YSRCP is losing ground. As of now, Jana Sena has not made any ground.
The channel telecast the survey, conducted from October 30 to November 12 in 23 sample constituencies, on Sunday evening. The channel claimed that the survey is scientific as well as comprehensive with a detailed questionnaire and a ballot to showcase the feelings of six crore Telugus in AP.
To the main question on “who will win if the election are conducted now?’ would bring cheer to Nara Chandrababu Naidu. TDP-BJP alliance will win 120 seats with 46.53 as against 106 seats in 2014 elections. Surprisingly, YSRCP, which had bagged 67 seats, would get only 50 seats with 36.80 percent of votes, according to the survey. It also says that 3.71 percent voters would choose NOTA.
The anchor for the survey special, titled “Pulse of AP”, senior journalist Satyanarayana Murthy announced that people are not considering Jagan but they are with Chandrababu despite the state is having a plethora of troubles. Till now, the survey considers Jana Sena as an alliance partner of TDP-BJP. If they part ways and contest the elections? Here comes the results in the new scenario.
According to the survey, TDP will get 20 more seats if they go to elections without BJP. With 46.47 percent votes, TDP would get 140 seats. This situation would further make a dent into Jagan’s party. “In case TDP goes alone, YSRCP will get 30 seats with 35.91 percent votes,” the anchor announced.
If Pawan Kalyan is also expected to be in the fray as a political party, it would get only 3.86 percent votes. This particular result clearly indicates that the film star Pawan Kalyan doesn’t have any considerable impact on AP politics. The channel gave constituency wise results too.
At the outset, the channel gave a lengthy explanation on as to why there is a need of survey in AP, not in Telangana.
Surely, the survey results will stir up a hornet’s nest in the coming days. “Idi AP hruadayam (heart), manogatam (Pulse), raajakeey mukhchitram (Political scenario),” the anchor pronounced before getting into the survey results.
The Pulse of AP is going on till we publish this post at 8 pm.
