The residence and properties of Medepalli Vijayaraju (53), an assistant commissioner in the AP State Endowments Department are being searched by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel.
Disproportionate assets having a market value of Rs 50 crore are said to be unearthed by the ACB.
Vijayaraju’s residence in Nidamanuru near Vijayawada is being searched by the ACB’s central investigation unit (CIU) DSP Ramadevi and her team, whereas a few other teams are conducting searches of other properties belonging to the officer, his relatives and friends in Vijayawada, Bhimadole in West Godavari district and in Hyderabad.
According to ACB sources, the officer amassed disproportionate assets through dubious means.
