Tollywood actor and filmmaker Vijaya Niramala passed away on Thursday morning in Hyderabad due to age related health ailment. She was aged 73. She is the second wife of Superstar Krishna. From the past few days, she was being treated in Continental Hospital at Gacchibowli. In the early hours of Thursday morning, she breathed her last.
Born and brought up in Chennai, Vijaya Niramala featured in more than 200 films and directed 44 films for which she made into the Guinness Book of Records for being the female director with highest number of films. She also donned producer’s hat for 15 films under the banner Vijaya Krishna Productions.
She made her acting debut in Telugu at the age of 11 years and shared screen space with Krishna in 47 films. She appeared in a few Tamil and Malayalam films as well. She is survived by a son Naresh.
Tv9 reporting that Vijaya Nirmala has passed away. She has been sick for a while and taking treatment in Continental hospitals.
