Noted actor Prabhu is likely to join Congress party in Tamil Nadu. He has indicated his decision at several forums and to his close friends for quite some time. Prabhu’s father and veteran actor Shivaji Ganeshan has worked with the Congress party in the past.

Prabhu has appeared in character roles in several Telugu films as well. It is common for film personalities in Chennai to enter politics. Tamil Nadu politics has always been dominated by cine heros, writers and heroines for a long time now.
