TDP senior leader and Ex Minister Adinarayana Reddy is all set to join the BJP soon. This became clear after he met and held discussions with BJP National Working President JP Nadda in Hyderabad. Analysts say that the former minister is under increasing political pressure from his followers in Kadapa district to change his strategy to counter ruling YCP leaders.
Adinarayana Reddy originally won on YCP ticket in 2014 polls but joined TDP later and became minister. He said that he was unhappy with Jaganmohan Reddy style of functioning. In last election, Adinarayana Reddy contested on TDP ticket in Kadapa MP seat but lost to the YCP candidate. YCP won all the Assembly segments in Kadapa district. This has alarmed Adinarayana Reddy. He was further shocked at the high-handed behaviour of YCP leaders. Analysts say that Adinarayana Reddy had no choice but to join the BJP in order to protect his followers. More and more TDP leaders are expected to do the same in Rayalaseema region where factions and violence change political equations.
