Three NRI friends Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta 14 Reels and they produced some of the big=budget films. Due to creative differences they parted ways and Ram, Gopi floated a new production house 14 Reels Plus. They have been struggling to score a super hit and enter into the big league for some time. 14 Reels Plus produced Gaddalakonda Ganesh and Sreekaram. They co-produced Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata along with Mythri Movie Makers. Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta have been waiting for the right film and a biggie.
They are now producing Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam, one of the most crazy projects of Telugu cinema. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam marks the fourth combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati who delivered three blockbusters: Simha, Legend and Akhanda. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam is also the sequel for Akhanda which was a super hit. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam is also the most expensive film in the careers of Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu. The film is planned on a budget of Rs 150 crores which is quite risky. Balakrishna and Boyapati alone will be taking close to Rs 60 crores as remuneration and the rest will be spent on the making. Boyapati knows the best to present Balakrishna and the expectations are huge on Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam.
Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam is a golden opportunity for 14 Reels Plus considering the craze and it is also a risky project considering the budget. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam will be an acid test for Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta who have been waiting to prove their mettle. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam will release next year.
