Tollywood actor and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan reiterated on several occasions that he is learning the dynamics of politics and is currently focusing on related areas. Kalyan, who is currently touring the US, had a two-hour closed-door discussion with Harvard University professor Steve Jarding, who is also a renowned political strategist.
His discussion with Jarding gains significance as the latter is presently guiding Akhilesh Yadav in the UP elections campaign. Samajwadi Party (SP) has roped in the professor who also works as a campaign manager and political consultant for the Democratic Party in the United States.
Jarding who is certain that Yadav has an “impressive connect with the youth” and people in rural regions, reworked on SP’s social welfare schemes. The professor deployed his team in villages of UP who have been surveying, collecting feedback and proposing improvements.
Kalyan’s conversation with Jarding could be prolific, as the former’s messages on twitter inspired a lot of youth to participate in peaceful protests. The party also has a strong backing primarily from youngsters. The recent protests lacked direction, resulting in a lot of youth looking up to Kalyan. The professor whose clients include democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, will be a big asset to the Jana Sena party.
Kalyan and Jarding possibly discussed an action plan for the upcoming 2019 general elections. Currently, the professor is assigned to train SP candidates in communicating with people of their constituencies and addressing their issues.
This meeting silenced the critics who have been questioning the political strategies of Jana Sena. It is also anticipated that Kalyan might meet Jarding again before the 2019’s elections. The Jana Sena leader who wants to remove the tag of “guest actor” in politics, with political strategist alongside could be the game-changer in the 2019 elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The Jana Sena leader is one of the speakers at the Indian Conference 2017 at Harvard University scheduled on 11th and 12th February.
