Alia Bhatt was the first choice for Saaho

Ever since Young Rebelstar Prabhas emerged as a pan Indian actor, the makers of his next film Saaho wanted a Bollywood actress for the film. After a series of speculations, Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to romance the Baahubali actor in this high voltage action entertainer. Sujeeth is the director of the movie and UV Creations are the producers. Before Shraddha, the makers considered Alia Bhatt to romance the actor in the movie.

Alia Bhatt straightaway rejected the film as her character had no scope to perform. When compared to Prabhas, Alia had rarely interesting scenes and with no option left, Alia had to walk out of the prestigious project with a disappointment. However a close source to the actress revealed that Alia was always keen on signing interesting films and has no regrets. She rejected several big films if she did not like the script. Saaho is being made on a massive budget and will hit the screens during early 2019.
