All political parties have got an idea TRS rebel candidate Korukanti Chander will win in the Ramagundam segment this time with a clear majority. After polling concluded, the voting trends among local people and most sections of people there came in favour of Chander. Following this, all the leaders are contacting Chander and asking him to join their respective parties.
Sources say KCR son K Taraka Rama Rao has already spoken to Chander over phone and requested him to come back to the party fold. But Chander has not given his word and he has decided to remain neutral till the election verdict comes out. The Congress, TDP and BJP leaders have also invited Chander to their side.
Chander’s victory is being confirmed from the fact that even many TRS local leaders have openly turned against their party and campaigned in favour of the rebel candidate. Moreover, Chander’s wife Vijaya, who is a corporator there, died due to illness which had forced him to stay away from campaigning but his friends and followers have done all electioneering on his behalf.
Even the pro-TRS Singareni workers and their families have voted for Chander because of the massive sympathy factor that has surfaced in favour of him. In 2014 elections also, Chander contested as a TRS rebel candidate but lost. This time, all the surveys and parties have already come to a conclusion on his victory.
