Geetha Arts and Allu Aravind have always enjoyed a reputation for their professionalism and cold calculative nature. They do not let emotions get the better of them and profitability is always their prime objective.
So it comes as a bit of a surprise to see Allu Aravind’s behavior for the promotions of his son’s ‘Sarrainodu’. The movie has been declared a blockbuster and revenues have all but slackened off in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Any other production house would wrapped up the publicity and let the film run its course.
But Aravind is still spending heavily on TV advertisements. A number of 15 second and 30 second bugs are still appearing on TV, as if the film was in its second week! What exactly is Allu Aravind hoping to achieve here? It is to try and boost whatever revenue potential is left or is it to promote brand Bunny?
Industry watchers say that it is the latter. At a time when Bunny is emerging as a serious force in the Mega compound, Allu Aravind wants to leave no stone unturned for the projection of his son. That apparently is the prime reason why this shrewd producer is still pumping crores into publicity even when he knows that it may not change the revenues much.
