Young music sensation Devi Sri Prasad is undoubtedly the leading music composer in South Indian cinema. Though he has been knocked with number of opportunities from Bollywood, DSP could not sign them because of his busy commitments down South. All the top directors and filmmakers have been approaching DSP for their films and he is charging Rs 3 crores per film. Along with this, DSP comes with lot of demands. The director should narrate the bound script in advance to this music composer and it is DSP who decides about the placement of songs.
Top directors respect his commitment and decision as DSP has good knowledge on scripts. However there are talks that DSP never composes tunes on time. He is the solo decision maker of singers and lyricists for his songs. Right after the tune gets locked, DSP decides about the lyricist and singer that suits the situation of the song. There are talks that many top filmmakers feel relaxed as Devi Sri Prasad takes care completely about the music part. He has been roped in to compose the music for Ram’s next titled Hello Guru Prema Kosame however he walked out due to undisclosed reasons.
The inside news is that DSP failed to compose at-least a single tune for the film and when asked DSP replied saying that he did not get the right tunes. The makers replaced him with SS Thaman soon after hearing this. On the whole, DSP turned out to be a package of demands along with taking huge pay cheque home.
