Anantapur: As predicted by the political pandits, Jana Sena founder and Tollywood hero Pawan Kalyan on Friday clarified that he would contest in the 2019 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. However, he left the fans and political rivals guessing as to from which part of the region he would contest.
He was addressing a huge gathering at government college grounds as part of his third massive public meeting in Anantapur town. When all his fans were thinking that he would contest from his native district of West Godavari district, Pawan Kalyan on Friday hinted at starting his battle from drought-affected Anantapur district which kept many guessing.
Pawan Kalyan, who came with a well-drafted speech unlike his earlier addresses in kakinada and Tirupati, said that he would set up the first Jana Sena political office in Anantapur district.
During his 45-minute long speech, Pawan found fault with Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley for their non-clarity statements on special package to Andhra Pradesh State. “I happened to get eyesight after reading the special package draft issued by the Union Finance Ministry,” he quipped.
