AP’s first Chief Secretary after bifurcation, IYR Krishna Rao made controversial comments on the TDP Government. Speaking at the book launch of his book ‘Yevari Rajadhani Amaravati’, IYR brought some facts to light.
‘Choosing Amaravati as the capital of the state is not acceptable to all the regions. In fact, the government has made no efforts to in achieving consensus on this matter. The capital is selected to facilitate ‘commercial purposes’ than anything else.
Amaravati is selected as capital to benefit some people in view of the few legislators who have real estate businesses in this region. Initially, they stated that the capital would be established in the surroundings of Vijayawada. Later it has been shifted to Amaravati. This decision is purely taken to benefit the realtors in the region, close to the government’, said IYR Krishna Rao.
Reacting to IYR comments, TDP leader Varla Ramaiah rubbished his comments in this context and termed him as an ‘evil force’ in the state. Varla Ramaiah launched the book ‘Praja Rajadhani Pai Kutra’ (Translation: Conspiracy against Public Capital). Pawan Kalyan is an immature child, said Ramaiah.
