British model Amy Jackson is playing the female lead in filmmaker Shankar’s highly anticipated science fiction drama, Robot 2.0, which is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster film, Robot. The Rajinikanth starrer is billed as the most expensive Indian film till date with nearly 350 Crores being shelled out by Lyca International banner.
In a recent media interaction, the ‘I’ actress revealed that Shankar has designed a first of its kind role for her which is never explored in Indian cinema till now. Contrary to the reports, Amy is not playing a Robot in the film, but the details of her character are kept under wraps. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist in the film. Almost 60 percent of the shoot has already been wrapped up and the makers are planning to release the film in mid 2017.AR Rahman is rendering the tunes for the film.
