Kantha Rao starred in more than 400 films in a variety of genres including mythological, social and folklore. He has also acted in a few Hindi, Kannada and Tamil movies. He has produced about five films. Very big star in 1960s, later lost his charisma as trend shifted from folklore genre to other genres like social movie. He was born in Khammam and he died in 2009. He did not lead rich life during the final phase of his career, despite the fact that he was a very big star couple of decades back
P.C. Aditya Is planning to direct this movie with title – “Anaganaga Oka Rakumarudu”. Aditya met family members of Kantha Rao, he went to the native place of Kanta Rao and collected information about Kantha Rao and he is planning to start the movie soon. He announced that NTR, ANR roles also will be there in this movie.
