The Andhra Pradesh government has made significant progress in distributing flood relief, with 98% of affected families receiving financial aid. Out of the allocated 602 crore rupees, only 18 crore remains to be distributed.
Officials are working tirelessly to overcome technical hurdles and reach the remaining 2% of victims. The government has tasked district collectors with personally overseeing aid distribution to families facing issues like Aadhaar linking problems.
In NTR district, 15,000 families are still waiting for assistance, while Alluri Sitarama Raju district has 4,620 affected households yet to receive aid. Local authorities are now directly handling these cases to ensure no one is left behind.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the importance of reaching every single flood victim. He’s ordered officials to quickly resolve technical issues and update KYC details in banks to prevent further delays.
In a compassionate move, the government will provide free duplicate copies of important documents lost in the floods. This includes certificates, driving licenses, and registration papers. Special camps will be set up for a week to help flood victims replace their lost documents without any cost.
The Intermediate Board has also stepped up, offering free certified copies and duplicate certificates to students who lost their educational documents in the floods. This initiative aims to prevent disruptions in students’ academic and career paths.
The TDP lead NDA government’s focus on comprehensive aid and document replacement shows a commitment to helping victims rebuild their lives.
