If the confidence vote is really taken up today, there would be no doubt that the Kumaraswamy government would be defeated and removed. Yet another 8 Congress MLAs are rebelling against Kumaraswamy. Already, 16 rebel MLAs are unwilling to return and support the alliance. This has shown how effectively the BJP has gone forward to dislodge the JDS-Congress government in Karnataka. The confidence vote was supposed to take place yesterday but it was postponed by the Speaker amid ugly scenes.
The Modi-Shah duo have been determined to unseat and disturb the rival alliance since the general election. The Congress MLAs fell into the trap of the BJP which led to the huge crisis in the JDS-Congress alliance government. The political circles are waiting eagerly to see what twist the BJP will give after the fall of the Kumaraswamy government. Will BJP form the government? or will there be the Governor’s rule?
As nearly 24 MLA’s have become rebels, Kumaraswamy has also lost all hopes.
