Talented actress Savitri impressed the audience big time during the late 50s and early 80s. She started her career in 1950 with the film Samsaram and the actress did films in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. She received wide reception for her performance and she will be remembered for the rest of the life in Telugu cinema. A biopic on the legendary actress has been in process and young director Nag Ashwin who made his debut with Nani’s Yevade Subramanyam will direct the movie.
He has taken enough time to pen the script of the film which has been wrapped up recently. Aswhin was in plans to direct and restrict the film for Telugu alone however he later realized about the creeping up budget and decided to carve it in multiple languages as the actress is a known face in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi cinema along with Telugu. He has been considering Anushka or Vidya Balan for the lead role and things will be finalized soon. Though Sonakshi Sinha too has been considered for the role, there are chances that Vidya Balan may essay the role to have a wide release across Hindi too. Many unknown facts about the actress’s life will be revealed through this biopic.
