The short winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is all set to start today morning. The ruling YCP and the Opposition TDP are prepared for heated debates on the contentious issues like the damages in cyclone, heavy rains, delay in Polavaram project works, 3 Capitals decision, etc.
Usually, the winter session would be considerably longer but the Coronavirus impact has led to a shorter session now. The Assembly will take up condolences on the death of over 17 personalities, who included former President Pranab Mukherjee, playback singer SP Balasubramaniyam and others.
The ruling YCP was all prepared to explain all its achievements in over 30 issues ranging from the house sites programme, welfare measures to the proposed TIDCO houses.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is scheduled to visit the Gurudwara in Gurunanak Nagar Colony in Vijayawada city to attend the Gurunanak Jayanti celebrations.
TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu will offer tributes at the NTR statue and then proceed to the Assembly in Velagapudi.
