Andhra Pradesh state cabinet will be meeting for the first time in Velagapudi at temporary secretariat on the banks of river Krishna, tomorrow afternoon. The makeshift buildings were constructed marking the shift of administration to the new upcoming capital city of Amaravati.
Almost all government offices from Hyderabad Secretariat were shifted to this place months ago, marking the shift of administration to the new upcoming capital city of Amaravati. However, till now cabinet meetings are being held in Vijayawada only.
Even Chief Minister Chadnrababu Naidu is functioning from his camp office in Vijayawada, though his chamber was ready here two months ago. He formally moved into his chamber on October 12 and announced he will perform his duties from their only.
His chamber is located on the first floor of the Block One of the state government’s headquarters. The State Command and Communication Centre, Cabinet meeting hall and Conference room are located alongside the CMO, which has been developed as a bullet proof facility.
