Andhra Pradesh Congress also came down heavily on the MoUs reportedly signed by the government of Andhra Pradesh with representatives of various companies that attended the ongoing Partnership Summit-2016 in Vizag.
APCC president Raghuvira Reddy said Naidu’s boasting of over Rs 2 lakh crore worth MoU was all fraud and was intended to create hype about nothing concrete.
He also recalled how Naidu in his previous term also organized half a dozen partnership summits and declared that state had mobilized about a lakh crore worth investments. He said except the tall talk and publicity, not a single unit was grounded during his nine-year period.
” I don’t remember any investment worth Rs one lakh during his first stint,” Reddy, who was minister, during ten-year Congress regime said on Monday.
Reddy was reacting to the grand declaration of MoUs signed in Vizag on Sunday and the worth of the investment they are likely to get into the state .
” Naidu is hoodwinking time with these expensive events instead of working to get the special status and package to the backward region. If special status is accorded and package is announced for backward region, investors from across the globe would come calling and there would be no need to hold these events,” he said.
