Former Minister Nara Lokesh made a scathing criticism of the Jagan Reddy government over its failure to supply subsidy seed to farmers in the state. Very strangely, the seed produced in Andhra Pradesh is available for farmers in Telangana but not for those in Andhra nowadays. Lokesh asked why the YCP government failed to procure enough seed in advance to meet the needs of the farmers in the state. He said that the ruling party leaders were otherwise busy while the Telangana government bought seed from AP and distributed to its farmers meeting their full requirement.
Lokesh advised the Jagan Reddy government to at least respond to the situation now and start procuring seed from available sources. Already, enough damage is done to the farmers as most of them could not begin agricultural season in time due to delay in supply of seed.
The Telugu Desam Party leaders are intensifying their criticism of the ruling party on a variety of issues. It is just 40 days that Jagan Reddy came to power. It is his first innings in power. In the past, he walked in the power corridors as the son of former CM YSR but now Jagan Reddy is himself in the seat of power. The equations changed and the TDP is hitting back equally strongly at the ruling YCP.
