Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday sought for financial assistance from the Center for the loss caused due to recent rains in three districts of the state, and to manage severe drought conditions prevailing at several parts of the state.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister ( Revenue an Disaster Management) N Chnarajappa, along with the MPs from the state have met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, and submitted a representation to his. The deputy chief minister said that a total of 356 mandals in the state are reeling under severe drought conditions and sought financial assistance of Rs 2,000 Cr. This is in addition to the financial assistance that the state government had earlier sought for loss caused due to the heavy rains and floods in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts.
