Andhra Pradesh cabinet today decided to set up special fast-track court to try all the cases pertaining to the Agrigold, Abhayagold, Akshaya gold etc. The cabinet also discussed the pending central assistance to the state and decided to address a letter to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister to remind and put pressure for immediate release of the funds assured to the state.
With regard to the Agrigold, the state government soon write to the chief justice of High Court to set up the fast-track court. So far 176 cases had been booked against these companies. To facilitate the victims of the fraud to book the cases, the government will soon launch a web site. The cabinet which met for over four hours, also finalized the dates for the auctioning of the assets of these companies. Justice Sitapai, appointed by Hyderabad High Court, will oversee the auctions on April 20 and 21. This was revealed by Information and Public Relations minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy.
Briefing the media on the cabinet decisions , the minister said the fast-track court would be located at Vijayawada. The minister said the government had decided to initiate the process of filling up of various vacancies, up to 20,000, in phases. Similarly, the government decided to continue the free-sand policy. The cabinet also decided to celebrate the Telugu new year day that is Ugadi festival officially all across the state. While the central celebration will take place at Vijayawada, all the in-charge ministers will officiate the celebration of festival in a manner that reflect the Telugu culture. Another important decision the cabinet took was related to avoiding double of duplicate registration of lands. At present, the registration officials have no authority to verify the land physically before registration, which the government feels led to the multiple registration of the lands. Now inorder to authorize the registrars to verify the land physically, Section 22 B would be incorporated in the guidelines, the minister said.
Naidu to tour districts
Meanwhile Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will start his district tours from April 15. He will tour all the district staying 2 to 3 days in each districts. Apart from interacting with the people of the districts, chief minister will conduct reviews and verify the implementation of various schemes. Naidu will take feedback from the people. On April 14, on the occasion of 125 birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, government will launch a scheme to build 6 lakh house across the state.
