Andhra Pradesh government which is in the process of shifting the government departments to new capital region has set up estate office to take care of the matters related to the accommodation in Vijayawada and Guntur. Setting up estate office is necessary as in the next step many more senior officer are likely to shifted to Vijayawada and government has to finalize the accommodation for all these officers. The new estate office will swing into action to identify the accommodation space of the officers.
As of now there is no Estate Office for Andhra Pradesh. The present Estate Office of Hyderabad with a total strength of 27 permanent officers and staff and 2 temporary staff were managing the accommodation for the Ministers, Officers and employees at Hyderabad. During bifurcation, the Estate Office being a regional office continued with Government of Telangana including all the Staff. Now since accommodation is to be secured and provided for All India Service Officers and other high dignitaries, State Government Officers and the Employees, there is a need for establishing an Estate Office in the new Capital Region. It is suggested that for the time being the Estate Officer will function as a part and parcel of General Administration (Accom.)
The Government has decided to secure private houses/accommodation on lease basis within a maximum ceiling limit of Rs.40,000/- per month, from the house owners/reputed builders/developers as bulk accommodation, through bidding process, to provide accommodation to All India Service Officers in the areas of Hyderabad, New capital of Amaravathi and other places in the Districts of Andhra Pradesh, where the accommodation to All India Service Officers is required.
