For the first time, Devi Sri Prasad is under severe pressure. The top music director is feeling the heat as big directors are slowly moving away from him. Trivikram has already stopped working with Devi Sri Prasad after ‘Attharintiki Daaredi’. Trivikram has collaborated with Mickey J Meyer, Anirudh Ravichander and Thaman for his recent movies. Thaman is also composing music for his current movie ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ and songs of this movie have already gone viral.
It is doubtful whether Trivikram approaches DSP for future assignments.
The strong buzz in the industry is that Koratala Siva also is looking towards Bollywood music composers for his new film with megastar Chiranjeevi. Koratala Siva and DSP is the most successful combination as the duo gave four hits – ‘Mirchi’, ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. Koratala Siva recently approached Bollywood music composers Ajay-Atul and Amit Trivedi. He may finalize one of them.
After signing DSP for ‘Valmiki’, Harish Shankar opted out when the music composer refused to do a remix song. Harish signed Mickey J Meyer in his place.
Top directors who had a long association with him looking for other music composers are sending wrong signals about Devi Sri Prasad. Also, with SS Thaman is giving hit numbers like ‘Samajavaragamana’, Devi Sri Prasad is worrying about his career.
