Director Krish who remained silent till the release of ‘Manikarnika’ stated the art of deception happened with the film. Though Krish did not criticise Kangana and the makers, he actually disclosed what happened.
“We shot the film for about 109 days in Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Bikaner but overall I worked for about 400 days for the film. We wrapped up the shooting, post-production works too and that is when I signed ‘NTR’ biopic. When the first teaser released in October, the director’s label had only my name. But when the trailer was released in December, Kangana’s name was included second to mine. The whole thing changed after the release as I see my name after Kangana’s in the direction credits,” said Krish.
Regarding the same, Krish reportedly called on the producers of ‘Manikarnika’ and to his surprise they replied that it was Kangana’s call. He added that his morality and integrity of filmmaking were hurt by this act.
The director also found fault in Kangana’s action for the exit of actor Sonu Sood from the movie. “Sonu had no objections working with a female director or for the fact that Kangana. But his role was changed which he did not accept. He informed that if director Krish makes changes in his character that would be fine. So is the case with Atul Kulkarni’s role,” added Krish.
To be away from controversy and stuff, Krish said he refrained himself from speaking about the film even though media was continuously trying to get at least a single comment from him.
