AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has confirmed that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley called him on phone just a while back. Speaking to the TDP MPs via teleconference, Chandrababu said, ‘during the call, Arun Jaitley said the Center is ready to fulfil the bifurcation promises, granted Vishakhapatnam Railway and Kadapa Steel Plant.
He did not speak about Special Category Status. So, we need to take a decision on this, before we can move ahead’.
Reacting to this, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said, ‘it is the responsibility of the Centre to give a clarity regarding the latest developments to the people of Andhra Pradesh. If we meet the Cabinet Ministers at this juncture, it would send wrong signals to the people. There is no harm in greeting each other, maintaining formality’.
Chandrababu seconded Yanamala’s opinion on this occasion. When Payyavula Keshav and Palle Raghunath Reddy raised about ‘Operation Dravida’, exposed by Hero Sivaji, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu stated that the party will look into it very soon.
