Finally, TDP Cabinet Ministers, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary met Prime Minister Narendra Modi just a while back, and have submitted their resignation letters. The move comes after, Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that TDP MPs will resign from Cabinet Ministries in a late-night press meet yesterday.
Prior to CBN’s press meet, Arun Jaitley’s controversial statements during a press meet early in the evening further strained relations between BJP and TDP.
Though the two TDP MPs were expected to submit their resignations in the morning, it was postponed to evening due to the unavailability of the Prime Minister. Upon meeting the PM, the duo has submitted their resignation letters at PM’s residence.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju served as the Minister of Aviation from May 26th, 2014. While, Sujana Chowdary served as the Minister of State for Science, Technology and Earth Resources from November 9th, 2014.
The two BJP Ministers in the AP State Cabinet, Kamineni Srinivas (Ministry of Health) and Manikyala Rao (Endowment Ministry) have resigned for their ministries today morning.
