Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed concerns over the blackmailing politics, while giving an example of latest defection of TDP MP Avanti Srinivas. Naidu said that Avanti was threatened over his assets in Hyderabad and this forced him to leave TDP. Avanti Srinivas is MP from Anakapalli Lok Sabha constituency.
“Avanti was accmompanying me in the recent New Delhi tour and yesterday left the party. What does it mean? With a sole objective of unseating the TDP, some vested interested groups are working on dividing people on caste equations. But, I wouldn’t tolerate such acts and I work of prosperity of Andhraites and economy development of Andhra Pradesh,” said Naidu.
Referring to his family, Naidu said that his family members were in different parties, while maintaining cordial relations among them.
“Coming to our family, Purandheshwari is in BJP and Daggubati is in YSRCP. Our relations are different from political interests. Though we work different parties, we maintain cordial relations when it comes to family,” remarked Naidu.
Amanchi Krishnamohan, Chirala TDP MLA, has met YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and now his joining the party is only a formality. Amanchi won in Chirala Assembly constituency as an independent candidate in 2014 elections and later joined TDP. Amanchi is the third MLA to leave TDP recently after Ravela Kishore Babu and Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy.
