After conquering the box office in India and US, SS Rajamouli‘s magnificent epic drama, Baahubali : The Beginning, is all set to dominate the box office in China. It is well known that Indian films are slowly becoming a selling point in China and last year, Aamir Khan’s PK had collected more than 100 Crores and opened doors for Indian movies. Now, it is time for Baahubali to show its might in China.
According to an official press release, Arka Media Works, the production house behind the magnum opus, struck a deal with E Stars films of China, a leading distribution company, to release the International cut in November across 5000 screens. Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers, stated that the film is clearly rooted in Indian culture, but it is not confined to any one era or tradition. ‘We are hopeful that the film will huge patronage in China as well just like the remaining avenues where the film did phenomenal business’, concluded Shobu.
In the meantime, team Baahubali is getting ready to commence the shooting for the second part ‘Baahubali : The Conclusion’, which is slated to hit the screens in July 2016.
