Victory Venkatesh starrer Babu Bangaram, which opened to mixed reports last Friday, is having a decent run in all areas thanks to the long weekend. Despite poor word of mouth and a below par web reviews, the Maruthi directional has managed to amass decent collections in the first weekend. The disastrous result of Tikka has further helped the cause for Babu Bangaram, because the latter has been rated as a better movie than the former.
In overseas, Babu Bangaram is inching towards the half million mark, but is likely end as a loss venture for the distributors as it was bought for a high price. So far, the film has notched up around 15 Crores share worldwide and with Monday being a holiday, the collections will remain strong in most of the areas. The film need to sustain well in the next two days to break even.
Nayanatara is the female lead and Suryadevara Naga Vamshee produced the film.
