Following an unrelenting posture from the students to go ahead with organising Beet Festival on Osmania University campus, the OU Registrar on Wednesday warned students with rustication from the university, if they cross the line.

Hyderabad: Amidst of growing tension over organsing a ‘Beef Festival’ on the campus, the Osmania University on Wednesday has threatened the students with rustication from the university, if they cross the line, and conduct the festival. Efforts of some of the teachers appealing to the students not to spoil the academic atmosphere in the campus have gone in vain, and the student had conducted a run up for the festival, despite there is a court order.
Against the back drop of all these developments, the OU Registrar said on Wednesday that there is no permission to hold such festivals on campus in the university premises. And if any of the student crosses the line, then the university will not hesitate to rusticate them from the institution by cancelling their admission.
