At a time when he is finding it difficult to defend his own purchase of assigned lands from fellow dalits in Amaravati capital region, son brought new head ache for Ravela Kishore Babu, social welfare minister of Andhra Pradesh. According to reports minister’s son Ravela Susheel and his driver Apparao, in an inebriated condition, misbehaved with a burqa clad woman. Though the incident happened on Thursday, it surfaced only on Friday with the woman finally choosing to lodge a complaint with the Banjara Hills police. According to the complainant, Sushil and his driver tried to dragged the complainant into the car when she was walking along the road on Road No 13 , Banjara Hills. She said they were fully drunk.
She said locals came to her rescue when she raised alarm. Both Sushil and driver Apparao were beaten blue and black by the local people. But, the police, who reached the scene of offence, are said to have booked case against the driver alone sparing Sushil. The complainant, a private school teacher, told media that the police let them free in no time. The locals, however, said they saw the MLA sticker on the car wind screen and asserted that the boy was son of Ravela Kishore Babu. They were wondering why the police did not book the case against the son of Andhra minister.
