Star heroine Anushka’s long delayed female centric film Bhagmati has completed its shoot a couple of months ago. Pilla Zamindar fame Ashok is the director for this period drama and Malayalam actor Unni Mukunda is essaying a crucial role in it. There were reports that the film will release for Sankranthi next year.
It is learnt through reliable sources that UV Creations, the production unit behind this film, is aiming for December 22nd release as Sankranthi is already packed with numerous releases. If this turns out to true, Bhagmati will lock horns with Akhil’s Hello which has already been confirmed to hit the screens on December 22nd.
Nagarjuna, who is bankrolling Hello, has already requested Dil Raju to move MCA out from December 21/22 release. Hence, MCA has been preponed. Sources say that he also requested UV Creations to avoid competition with Hello, but they are considering December 22nd as an ideal release due to lesser competition.
An official confirmation is awaited to end the ongoing speculations on Bhagmati release date.
