Bharath Ane Nenu is an upcoming political drama starring Mahesh Babu and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film is directed by Koratala Siva who gave a memorable hit Srimanthudu for the Superstar earlier. Music for this film is composed by DSP and the expectations are already skyrocketing about the flick.
The album begins with title song Bharath Ane Nenu sung by the new voice David Simon and penned by Rama Jogayya Sastry. The song has an interesting blend of trance and modern beats coupled with Indian melody. It is downright inspiring and also speaks quite appealingly about the service oriented nature of the lead character in the film. DSP does a good job in bringing a fresh approach towards the song which is quite mellowed.
I Don’t Know sung by the Bollywood sensation Farhan Akhtar has already become much popular with the single release. In the contradiction to the mellowed style of the first song, this is quite feisty, fun and frolic. The interludes are waft with trumpets, Cuban beats and enjoyable chord progression. The percussions take a brilliant front seat and take the song forward. After long time, DSP’s prowess in using bass guitar is heard in this song.
A dash of nativity in the form of Vachaadayya saami sung by Kailash Kher arrives next. Resembling the song Pandagala Digivachadu from Koratala Siva- DSP’s combo Mirchi, this song also carries an impressive uniqueness. Rama Jogayya Sastry does a commendable job with his power packed lyrics. The song follows the regular format of inspirational songs and speaks highly of leadership qualities.
It is time for a contemporary groovy number Ide Kalala Vunnadhe sung by the sensational singer Andrea Jeremiah. The song has 80s retro beats which resemble the international Pop numbers of that era. The song is quite groovy and sounds quite appealing for the modern listeners. The interludes are gripping, catchy and also keeps the listener inclined towards it.
The finale occurs with Vasumathi sung by Yazin Nizar and Rita in their sublime best. The breeziness and DSP’s magic in blending melody with rhythm section is clearly at work in this song. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are quite poetic and also trendy at the same time. However, the chord progression touches are the biggest highlight of the song.
Verdict:
Bharath Ane Nenu is an impressive album where DSP followed the commercial formula and also did his bit of experimentation to bring fresh compositions.
