Telugu Desam candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy who emerged victorious in the Nandyal by-election was sworn in as the MLA on Friday. The oath of office was administered by Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh assembly Kodela Shivaprasad at Amaravati.
Speaking after the swearing in ceremony, Brahmananda Reddy said that the delay in oath was attributed to the ‘Intintiki TDP’ outreach programme and also that he has been overseeing the already initiated development works.
He added that he would strive for the development of Nandyal. Ministers Akhila Priya and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy attended the ceremony. Brahmananda Reddy thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh and said that he would work to fulfil the ambitions of his father and uncle.
