Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday visited a police station in Hyderabad to understand the people friendly policies being adopted by Telangana police.
He went around Punjagutta police station in the heart of the city and was said he was impressed with its functioning.
Modi said he would like to bring similar changes in Bihar to improve the law and order situation.
Earlier, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy made a power point presentation for the Bihar Deputy CM and officials accompanying him. He explained the changes brought in the police administration after formation of Telangana government.
The police chief spoke about the use of technology and the reforms brought in the functioning of the police personnel to make the force people-friendly.
Modi along with Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey also studied the health schemes being implemented in Telangana and lauded them. He evinced keen interest in the schemes and said Bihar would like to replicate them.
He said a team of officials would soon visit Telangana to review the schemes.
Modi was all praise for KCR kits comprising essential items for mothers and newborns and being given free in government-run hospitals. He said he would take a kit with him to Bihar.
The officials of Telangana’s Health Department gave power point presentation to the Bihar ministers and officials. Modi inquired about various schemes.
