Biopic season continues in Tollywood. NTR, Lakshmi Parvati, Pullela Gopichand, Mahanati Savitri, Sairaa Narasimha Reddy (Historical though) biopics will be soon unveiling on silver screen. Now another biopic is on cards. Tiger Nageswara Rao, often called as Telugu Robinhod, and notorious Stuartpuram robber’s life will be soon seen on large screen. Kittu Unnadu Jagrattha fame “Vamsi Krishna” planning to work on the biopic of Tiger Nageswara Rao, a notorious thief of Stuartpuram in the 1970’s The film will showcase the humane side of Nageswara Rao.
Nageswara Rao grew up in a broken family. After his father married a second time, his family attachments loosened further. He married his uncle’s daughter and began to work in the fields but the income was meagre. In the early ’70s he started breaking into houses and it continued for next 15 years. ‘Tiger’ Nageswara Rao had earned notoriety for his ability to evade the police, even in custody. He got the moniker of ‘Tiger’ after managing to escape from a Chennai jail. The ‘Tiger’ was eventually shot dead by the police in 1987.
As per the rumors, Rana will be essaying the role of Nageswara rao. Official confirmation and more details to come out soon.
