Vetaran hero Kamal Haasan, who turned politician by floating his own party Makkal Neethi Mayyam (MNM), announced today that his party will be contesting upcoming by-polls in TN assembly for all 20 seats.
Actually it is his birthday today (7th November). Speaking on his birthday today in Chennai, Kamal Hassan said that his party will strive to cleanse the electoral system by doing away with graft for votes. He announced during his speech that , his party is fully prepared to contest the forthcoming bye-elections to all twenty Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. He also added that he is not playing into the hands of any other party but his party is working only for the people.
It is known news that, Madras High court upheld the decision of speaker on disqualifying Dinakaran’s group of MLAs ( https://www.telugu360.com/breaking-madras-hc-shocker-to-dinakaran-mlas/ ). Total 18 members belonging to Dinakaran group got disqualified and 2 other MLAs (including Karunanidhi) died and that necissitated elections in 20 assembly seats. Election Commission is expected to announce the schedule for the by-polls soon. While Kamal announced his MNM will be contesting in bypolls, there is no such announcement from Rajni yet.
We will have to wait and see how TN people respond to Kamal’s MNM party in the elections.
