The Bharatiya Janata Party AP leaders have sharply reacted on CM Chandrababu Naidu’s current tours in different states. They are criticising Naidu for attacking PM Modi on the issue of Central funds and special status to AP. Naidu’s campaigns in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Delhi have embarrassed the BJP thoroughly. BJP MLC Somu Veerraju said that Naidu was spreading lies everywhere though the Modi government had given nearly Rs. 6 lakh crore to AP till now.
Veerraju who is known for his pungent attacks on rivals has asserted that AP state could get over 60 awards at the national level. It could be achieved only because more works could be taken up as the Centre released far greater funds for the troubled state. All these awards were given for Central schemes implemented in AP.
Veerraju accused Naidu of diverting the attention of the voters from successful Central schemes like NREGS. It is only for this reason that Naidu is levelling allegations against Modi on denial of special status and injustice to AP. Veerraju alleged that thousands of crores of Central funds were spent under the Neeru-Chettu scheme in AP. In this, the TDP leaders did huge corruption and irregularities in digging soil in farm ponds which was worth several thousands of crores.
