After bringing down the JDS-Congress alliance government in Karnataka, the BJP is making a very cautious move there. It’s not rushing to stake claim to form the next government. The BJP leaders are closely watching the strategies of Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar who has been giving a very difficult time to the rebel MLAs since the beginning.
Now, the Speaker gave another shock by announcing the disqualification of three rebel MLAs. He is yet to take a final decision on the fate of the remaining rebel MLAs. The Speaker says that the rebel MLAs appear to be under some outside influence and are unable to act independently as they have arrived in Bangalore with protection by hundreds of policemen.
The Speaker’s move gave enough scope for Kumaraswamy to reopen the negotiations with the rebel MLAs once again. In the present crisis, analysts say anything may happen. There’s also a chance for the President’s Rule in the state.
