If someone asks me, was it difficult to crackdown ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali? Or which way is CBN going? I would go with the second one. Things between TDP and BJP are going overboard. From what seemed to be a drama, is turning out to be a violent storm with state leaders directly taking the attack to AP CM Chandrababu itself.
Addressing a press meet, BJP leader Somu Veerraju took the attack to Chandrababu and Congress. In fact, he came out with newspaper clippings exposing Chandrababu’s change in his stance. Similarly, he also referred to instances where Ganta Srinivas lauded the Central government for its extreme benignity towards the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Somu Veerraju started the press meet, targeting Congress. ‘I heard Congress leaders speaking about the ongoing row between AP and Centre. If that’s the case, it is the Congress that proposed the 10-year period for fulfilling commitments. Why isn’t anyone asking the Congress for that? Why didn’t the Congress limit time period to fulfil promises to 5 years?
Chandrababu Naidu himself expressed on many occasions, the Centre has given many funds to the state. I have no idea why he is having a change of his mind.
And moreover, for the first time in the history, the Centre has sanctioned 400 seats to the NIT in Andhra Pradesh (Tadepalligudem) against the initial limit of 100 seats. Why isn’t the TDP government talking about that? Did any Central government in the past sanction 16 universities to one state, that too in one year? NDA at the Centre did that in case of Andhra Pradesh.
It is the complete responsibility of the Central Government regarding the functionality and infrastructure of Central Universities in the state. The AP State Government or the TDP need not worry about this,’ said Somu Veerraju.
Talking about the capital construction cost, Somu Veerraju drew comparisons between the new secretariat proposed by KCR, to be constructed in Bison Grounds in Hyderabad, and Chandrababu’s dream capital. ‘I heard that KCR’s proposal is likely to cost around 300 crores for Secretariat building. But Chandrababu here, asks in the tune of thousands of crores. There something definitely fishy in this context.
As of now, the Centre has already sanctioned Rs 1500 crores for the construction of capital buildings in AP Capital, Amaravati. Adding to this, Venkaiah Naidu also additionally sanctioned 1000 Crores for the same. Where is this money going?
The BJP is still committed to the development of Andhra Pradesh. With time, all the commitments will be fulfilled,’ ended Somu Veerraju.
